The Challenge
Ringside Research's surveys ran on manual telephone outreach, calling through lists of thousands of numbers by hand. That put a hard ceiling on what the research could deliver.
Throughput capped by people
Survey volume was limited by the number of human callers available, so scale meant hiring.
Inconsistent interpretation across a large caller team
Respondents' language and phrasing varied widely enough that consistent interpretation across many interviewers was difficult, and manually captured answers were prone to transcription error.

TechTrapture partnered with Ringside Research to design and build an AI calling platform on Google Cloud and Gemini, replacing manual outreach with automated, consent-bound calling and real-time analytics.
In opinion research, a fast wrong answer is worthless. Automation had to increase volume and reduce variability at the same time, or it wasn't worth doing.
What We Built
A survey administrator provides the questions and an approved, consented number list. The platform handles the rest.

Calls are placed only against the approved, consented list. Compliance is enforced by the platform itself rather than by policy and process, which makes it a design property of the system rather than a procedure someone has to follow.
Gemini-powered response capture
Conversational AI conducts each call, interprets responses across language and phrasing variation, and captures structured answers directly, rather than recording raw audio to be transcribed and coded later.
Real-time analytics
Results are available as calls complete, giving research teams live visibility into findings while the study is still running, instead of after a manual transcription and tallying cycle.
